Goal

Strengthen managers’ ability to organize their work, manage their attention and structure their team’s performance to increase day-to-day effectiveness, clarity and collaboration, even in high-pressure environments and with frequent interruptions.  

Learning objectives

  • Swiftly prioritize and structure their time to reduce work overload, unexpected issues and manage urgent situations. 
  • Improve their attention by limiting multitasking, interruptions and information overload. 
  • Support hybrid work by adapting management practices, clarifying expectations and implementing effective routines. 
  • Integrate concrete, simple and ethical use of artificial intelligence to reduce time spent on low-value-added tasks. 

Course delivery

Interactive training delivered in a virtual classroom or in person, combining conceptual input, practical tools, individual exercises and group discussions. The approach promotes anchoring learning in managers’ day-to-day work and immediate application of the tools presented.

6 hours in-person session or 2 x 3 hours online sessions

Introduction and icebreaker 

  • Identify your main current challenge in time and priority management. 

 Tool 1: Planning: a soft skill and a hard skill 

  • Planning as a management skill. 
  • Building clarity, attentional discipline and calm leadership. 
  • Planning based on priorities rather than a to-do list. 

 Tool 2: Prioritizing  

  • Three pillars: Attitude, reflection and action. 
  • Presentations of various prioritization tools: 
    • Interruptions and attention management 
  • Exercise in subgroups:
    • Dealing with timewasters 
  • Saying no:
    • a management skill  
  • Delegating effectively

Help your team better manage their time 

Review of Part 1 and implementation
